I was born on 14th December 1979 in the United Kingdom, I followed my Dads footsteps and became a professional footballer 1996. Having progressed at youth level I marked my first team debut with a goal in May 1997. I went on to score 118 goals in 216 appearances for my club. I have played with a top continental side and hold the distinguished record of scoring the most goals per ratio of minutes on the park that season…..
I signed for a British club in 2005 where I played for the next four seasons. I left to join another club in what seemed a surprising move for a boy with my background. I am sometimes remembered for sinking the Argies in France, I have captained my country, hold records and I am one of the very few from my country who can say I have won the won the Ballon d’Or.
I still play at the top level today …..
Oh…and I am the 7th most capped player for my coutry.
Don’t google – that’s for cheats……Last months answer was: Jason McAteer.
