Tynecastle look ahead to next round after Strathclyde cup win
A first half brace by former Maryhill Juniors man Chic Howe set Tynecastle on our way to a comfortable win over Tantallon Victoria in the first round of the Strathclyde cup. Chris Watson added a third before Steven McGlinchey headed home to make it 4-0 on the hour. Victoria pulled a goal back on 75 minutes but a sublime Paxton free kick restored our four goal advantage soon after. Andy Andersons effort was deflected past the keeper to make it 6-1 with minutes remaining, but a late goal from the away side meant a 6-2 win in the end, and a trip to face Firhill United in the next round.
